cause no one is caring today.
no words, wispers.
no looks, or stares.
dead to eachother,
ringed and smothered.
bruise;s around our lips to the ends of our bloated cheeks.
plastic shoved in our mouths,
eyes popped out.
saved in jars, by former admirers.
crusting over like quicksand over an open fire.
bodies chopped up,
put into separate coolers.
my arms here,
your legs there.
heads hung from the ceiling,
skin found peeling.
the smell of wet, sticky abuse rubbed against the air.
proud of one another.
a flag flown high,
a pair of black polka-dotted underwear, up in the dead sky.
